Faculty of Theological Science and Pastoral Studies
Introduction
In the light of the directives of Second Vatican Council and with post-conciliar Apostolic Exhortations insisting on the importance related to the good quality of training process of seminarians, monks, nuns and consecrated persons, Pontifical universities and above all the Salesian university set about the foundation of faculties and institutes specialized in preparing and training trainers, animators and spiritual directors, capable of seriously directing the “vocations” with a spiritual and profound educative experience.
In the framework of the program of studies of these institutions- which are multiplied and diversified with time- we notice a pure integration of human and educational sciences as well as varied philosophical, theological and spiritual schools and traditions. This institution aims at making the work of trainers more effective and above all granting them the capacity of permanent development.
